Life In Perth

I guess you have been wondering what had happened to me since I headed down to Perth. For a start, I was really busy sorting out my life, looking for a permanent accommodation, joining the orientation which was held for about 1 1/2 weeks, borrowing my cousin's car to drive around the city, cleaning up my room, and lastly attending my first week of lectures.

These are a few photos of me and my friends who came to the airport to send me off. I think there isn't any point of writing about something more than 2 weeks ago so I just upload the main ones okay?

This is how Perth Airport looks like from the entrance. It looks totally different than Melbourne's though. I went for the airport pickup which was provided by the uni and I was the first to arrive, which was about 6.30 local time. While my parents went off with my cousin to the hotel, I sat on one of the benches, waiting for the rest of the first years students.

Therefore I couldn't resist taking photo of the inside as well since I had nothing to do. My parents and my friends had been telling me to always make the first move to talk to the students but not only I sat alone in the van without a person to talk to, I couldn't opened the door when I wanted to go out. So embarrassing cause it happened right in front of all the people. What a way to start everything new.

I was brain washed before I came here and my first impression of Perth when I took the van to CBD was shocking. Perth is so like a rural area, only that there are no sheep or cows everywhere apparently like how he used to tell me.

Some of my friends were telling me that Perth is a really boring place and besides studying, there is no other thing that you can do. I believed them at the beginning. But sooner or later I found out that there is more to Perth than how the rest have thought.
Sure, Perth cannot be compared to Melbourne or Sydney cause Perth is like a totally different city altogether. However, Perth does have its own specialties and it ain't in a bad way.

So this is how the city looks like. Though it may mean nothing to some of you, but I love Perth, and I mean it.

One of the many places we went.

Lake Monger. It's a lake where all the swans 'hang out'.

The lake is owned by swans, ducks, pelicans and seagulls.

Cute lil ducklings

Matilda Bay. This bay is just next to my university and it's only a few minutes walk from my campus to the bay. I'll post more photos of my university in the next post.

See this. Click to enlarge if you want to.

Stand over the ground and observe your shadow. You might be able to tell the time from there.

Cruise. On the way to Fremantle, known for its Fish and Chips

Huge and luxurious houses.

The highlight among all

Cicerello's Fish and Chips

Traditional Fish and Chips

Seafood Tray

Mundaring, known for its pizzas.

The restaurant looks more like a diner at Cinderella's Story.

Smashing Pumpkin

Hawaiian Pizza

Smoked Salmon

Three Stories High

East Perth, known for a place somewhere like Mount Kiara.

Cottosloe Beach.

End of the world

A must click on the picture. =D

Went all the way up to Sorento Quey

Kids jumping into the water

Little Water Park

Mom loves their Fish and Chips so much that we decided to go all the way to Fremantle again at night for dinner.

The best set ever.

Love their Chilli Mussels. I don't eat mussels okay, so if I say it's good, means it is good. Unless you don't trust my sense of taste.

Seafood Chowder

Fremantle Harbour at 8.30pm

More to come!
