Perhentian Island Part 1

We had planned for this trip for ever so long, and our wish came true at last. After much confusion and frustration between their gang and ours, glad to inform that our group was the only one who made it. Thanks to the organizer and those who helped out.

************************************************************************************

The start of the trip was obviously the most exciting part, yet it was also one of the scariest moments. Terry was asking me to leave my house earlier because he and the others were too early! We met up at Puduraya Station a few hours earlier before the bus actually scheduled to leave. We chatted while waiting, headed to McD for awhile, and just hung around to pass the time. They were so shocked when they saw me carrying my school bag and a plastic bag. Some packed their stuffs as in they were going to Sg for a few months! U should have seen that. Especially the girls.

The first pic of the night with Jeremy taking us.

The bus took off immediately after 10.30pm and the start of the journey for the 7 of us began. I messaged my mom to tell her not to worry a thing as I could tell she was really worried. It turned out to be not what I'd expected. The driver was speeding practically the whole journey and we had to settle ourselves with a bumpy ride. The sky was extremely dark and there were no streetlights to be found. It was... terrifying.

KT station was packed with ppl waiting. There were several stalls opened and that was where we found a place to seat... and waited, in front of one the stalls. The seller had a disgusting looking steamed chicken hooked at the counter and a few old cabbages like it had been stored for quite some time. The whole place was yucky and dirty. We were lucky that we didn't need to stay that long.

Say cheese people! =D

And now it’s my turn.

We had to take another bus to the jetty for a boat transfer to Pulau Perhentian.

It was raining at that moment, but that didn’t bring to an end of our excitement. We reached the jetty later than we expected. We met up with Tom and May Ling there. She brought 2 of her girl friends along! So it makes up a total of 11 people. We had nothing to do, so we ended up...

Taking our cameras out to take photos.

With us taking picture of them and vice versa.

Me and part of Janice-es gang.

And another with T.

May Ling and Tom.

The girls of Perhentian gang~

This group pic damn nice. But I was the photographer! T_T

Tom said : I take for you lar.

When the boat arrived, everyone went super crazy and! Sorry for those people who were with us as we were conquering the entire boat! Then things got started,

We started taking group photos. Take note of Tiff’s cap.

That was what I thought; the speed would be something like this.

Her cap almost flew when the boat started taking speed! And it went faster and faster. We were all shouting like crazy! There were about 5-6 cameras around, with Jeremy taking photos of us.

I don’t know why the photos of the sceneries were so dark.

I like this shot. Perfect. =)

Okay, I still don’t know when this was taken. Look at Tom’s happy face.

T, Me and Tom.

Ok lar, I know my hair really suck at this time. Blame the speedboat. It was going so fast!

Oh shit, that is me trying to get to the centre of the boat. But the wind was blowing at the wrong direction! Can’t even have a good shot on it.

The cute couple =)

Another group pic!

Soon soon.. Hang in there!

Omg, I can see Pulau Redang~~!!

************************************************************************************

Let me present you, Pulau Perhentian.

Welcome to Arwana Perhentian Resort.

We were all so excited when we walked on the planks, with fishes under us. That was where we stopped. There were 2 stumps at the side. And everyone was like.. ‘take picture, take picture!!’.

T and Tom who were both pointing at Terry, who was doing the peace sign.

We set off to the resort to check in. While waiting for our rooms to be ready, that was when we went out again

So cute..~ Look at May Ling heading to our way.

And there she is!

We started... posing.

Almost perfect!

Notice anything behind? Let me show u.

Yup, that was Terry, walking towards here.

Love this shot. Guess who?

Tadaaa~

We saw the most adorable girl ever! Okay, maybe I was the only one obsessed with her. Too bad couldn’t take her photo. She was walking behind her dad, and I was walking behind her, posing. Just when Tiff was about to take a photo, her father turned back! Aaahhhhhhh!!! Wasted! T___T
That was the best shot. In fact, the only shot we got of her.

We headed to our respective room for awhile. Yup, family superior room. Cool right?

That’s us.. lying dead.

Look at Janice’s hair!!!

*************************************************************************************

After lunch, we went snorkeling at 3 different parts of the sea. It was my first time doing so, and it was really scary. Especially the part where we first went down into the sea! I didn’t know exactly how to use the goggles.

But it all went great. We had the chance to see...
Fishes. Big ones, small ones..

More fishes. Black ones, grey ones, colourful ones.
Dead corals.
Fishes.
More dead corals.

Once you touch the corals, they will die straight away. Imagine how many people had stepped on them before. The person in-charged gave us a few pieces of bread, and we started throwing them in the water… I couldn’t exactly feel the fishes beneath me, as they finished up pretty fast.

Some of us went further away from the boat, and there were hell a lot of fishes beneath us, feeding on the corals. I think a few of them bit me. I don’t know what they were.. but it left one patch of dots near my arm when I reached home.

I was climbing back on the boat, where Jeremy started mumbling on something…
He immediately threw something black, long, slimy and big on me..!! I was like… OMG!! WTH WAS THAT!!!

It turned out to be a Dead Sea cucumber.

I didn’t dare to hold it, but I was at least able to touch the slimy thing. Gross! They were black water stains on my finger after that.

A,B,C,D,Eeeeee!

Yucks Tom! Don’t eat it!

We left, and went to the other area where he asked us to spot a huge turtle in the sea. There was only one. EXTREMELY HUGEEEEEEEE!! WTF. It was so big!!

Nah, we didn’t take photo of the turtle. But it looked something like that, but even larger in size. Luckily we were the first to arrive, coz there was only one turtle and everyone of us were chasing it.
Once, it was hanging around the bottom… and he started swimming up… and up…And I was like...

AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I quickly swam away from there..The turtle’s head suddenly rose to the surface for a few seconds!! And it went down again..

A few boats arrived soon enough to see the turtle’s head. Lol.The people started chasing that one and only turtle once more.We left earlier than them… and we went to last area.
I got to step on this huge coral. =D It felt funny… and not to forget, slippery.

I think one of the circles is me! Click to enlarge.

Omg.. NICE PHOTO!!

Compare to this lar. And I looked horrible. Hahaha!

It took us almost half a day just to finish our snorkeling session. Then the person brought us to the last place. He said it was mineral water. And there it was, a lil waterfall. We started playing and splashing icy chill water at each other. The water there tasted so much better, compare to the sea water.

Instead of taking our shower in the room, we plunged ourselves into a big pool! Had a great time laughing and playing. T, with his long hands and legs often played pranks on Tiff, who was our common monkey.
They had to make the circle smaller so that I can catch the ball. I know I’m short. But, not the shortest XD

T was the super monkey!

Chasing the ball

One of them was our room.

No, looks can be deceiving

.I didn’t know I was looking at the camera.

Drinks section.

Too bad it started to rain already. So after dinner, we went back to our room. All looking half dead as we couldn’t sleep the night before. Some were watching tv, some were sleeping, and some were busy talking.

Then in came Jeremy and Tiff. =D
Both of u saved our night.

Some of us played a game called...”Heartbreaker”. Nah, there’s no name for it.It’s something like a combination of ‘Heart Attack’ and imitation.

Each will receive 4 cards each, and once we get 2 equal pairs... We have to shout “Heart Attack” and start doing some action. The slowest will have to be punished.

T was really funny, especially when he mentioned ‘heartbreaker’ instead. It was stupid, and some of the actions involved jumping around from our positions like a crazy maniac.

Why isn't anyone smiling?

Nah..this is better.. =)

We walked by the beach and went over to May Ling’s and her friend’s chalet. Elaine and Tom were busy sleeping. *ahem ahem*.

We know what can Tom do if he is sound asleep. =P

The whole beach was pitched black as the clouds had blocked the stars. No pictures taken as it was creepy to take pics at night. What if something else is behind you in that photo? @.@ I don’t wanna know what’s that.

We had supper near the open air restaurant. Jeremy, the big eater ordered chicken, beef, veggie and tom yam soup for 5 of us. The food was good. And it wasn’t that expensive. But the drinks...

ZzzZzz.U can get diabetic anytime by drinking that.

Lastly, we headed back to our room and started talking among ourselves till about 1 something. I was half awake throughout the whole conversation, and finally I laid back and sleep while Janice and Elaine continued.

Our first day ended with that.
